# Mining & Network Formation
Pee Network introduces a mobile-first mining model for its native asset, $PN, designed to enable global participation in the formation and growth of the network.
Rather than functioning solely as a reward mechanism, mining serves as a foundational component of the network's distribution and adoption strategy. It provides an accessible pathway for individuals to contribute to the ecosystem while establishing ownership within the emerging economic infrastructure.
The mining model fulfills two primary objectives:
